What is a BBC Master Series Microcomputer?
If you have come to this page via the RetroChallenge website then you will have an idea of what RetroChallenge is about. If not I would suggest having a read of theRetrochallenge website first.
My project for this year will be based largely around my large collection of old Macs. For the month of July I will be using my Quadra 700 and PowerBook 520c for all my internet activities, including updating this blog. I will also be trying to make some kind of creation on my BBC Master Series micro, either a program or a picture. The hard bit will be transferring this creation onto one of the Macs and subsequently uploading it to the internet. Since BBCs and Macs are practically incompatible, this will be an interesting project!
Along the way I also hope to re-cell a PowerBook battery for my Duo 2300c or 520c. It looks like the Duo will be the one getting the new cells, as it's battery is totally dead yet it would make a nice machine to take out and about.
This will be a good opportunity to have a bit of fun and I'm hoping it will also get me out of the habit of spending hours at a time reading websites and watching videos! It will also allow my computer collection (which has been gathering dust while I've been at University), to get a bit of use.
I will be updating this page as I go along so remember to keep checking back during July. It will probably be updated once a day but occasionally it may be a couple of days between updates (depending if I'm doing something else, in space etc).
This page was created entirely on a 68K Macintosh.
